Good Faith Surveys
There is no known safe level of asbestos exposure. Therefore, there are state & federal laws regarding the possible disturbance of in-place construction materials during building or home repair, renovations and demolition projects that require homeowners and building owners to conduct a Good Faith Survey for Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM), Presumed Asbestos Containing Materials (PACM), or lead-based paint performed prior to the start of any of these activities. A Good Faith Survey must be conducted by an AHERA certified building inspector. Based on the state & federal regulations, the Good Faith Survey must to be included as part of the demolition permit application. If ACM is found in the structure, it will need to be removed before the renovation or demolition activities can occur and before a demolition permit will be considered. TAC has AHERA certified building inspectors and we can assist you with your Good Faith Survey. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to schedule a Good faith Survey, or even if you don’t need a full survey, but just need a couple of samples taken.
