Here’s a little info on our office staff:
Mollie was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. She graduated with a degree in Business Administration specializing in Human Resources and Accounting. She has many years of experience in these fields. Mollie enjoys working at TAC because of the people she gets to work with. The team is very hands on and supports each other so they can take care of the customers and ensure they get the service they deserve. When not at work, Mollie enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis and enjoying the Pacific Northwest.
Matt was born and spent his youth in South Dakota until eventually migrating to Washington State. Matt brings a wealth of knowledge to our company, having been in the asbestos removal industry for about 14 years, even managing his own company for a time. He manages the TAC crew and schedules our jobs. Matt is both an AHERA Certified Building Inspector and a Certified Asbestos Supervisor. In his prior life, Matt worked as a chef and still cooks for his family almost daily. He likes watching the Seahawks play and enjoys game nights and vacationing with his wife and three children.
Brad grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington and earned his degree from CWU. Since coming on at TAC Brad has been through hours of training to earn his Washington State certifications to bring that knowledge to his customers. Brad brings experience in project management that allows him to manage the needs of his customers by using his problem solving and critical thinking skills. In his spare time, Brad enjoys golfing wherever and whenever he can
Our asbestos workers are all AHERA (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act) Certified. They complete a Washington State Certified 32-hour course. Topics focus on all aspects of abatement operations including asbestos types, uses and building material types; health hazards; regulations; worker protection and decontamination issues; personal protective equipment; site safety; state of the art work practices and engineering controls. Hands-on training includes the use of respirators; removal and repair of simulated asbestos materials; glove-bag installation, use and removal; construction of containments; decontamination; and proper entry and exit procedures from the regulated area.Our asbestos supervisors complete a Washington State Certified 40-hour course that includes the content in the 32-Hour Asbestos Worker course as well as supervision and management, administrative programs, how to select and set-up engineering controls properly, how to conduct air monitoring, and how to set-up and manage supplied air breathing systems. Hands-on exercises are included such as setting up air sampling equipment, Type C systems, respiratory protection, glove-bagging, calculating and locating ventilation requirements for an enclosure, and 3-stage personnel decontamination. Certification license cards are issued from the Washington State Dept. of Labor & Industries.Tacoma Abatement Company is a proud member of Master Builders Association and the Puget Sound Adjusters Association. We participate in local charities and fundraisers such as the Relay for Life and with the Business Owners and Managers Association and local real estate agencies.We are experienced working with the insurance industry. Our estimators work with Xactimate Estimating Software.
